For years, ReSuture has focused on making open vascular surgery training as lifelike as possible — synthetic vessels that cut and suture like human tissue, procedure-specific cartridges, and platforms trusted by residency programs and medical device companies alike. Today, we’re excited to officially introduce the next chapter: the NAVIS Lab.
NAVIS — the Navigation and Angio Visualization Integrated Simulator — is our answer to a question training programs ask us constantly: vascular care is increasingly endovascular, so where is the endovascular trainer that feels real?
The NAVIS Lab combines three things that have never come together in one affordable, portable platform:
That last point matters. Most endovascular simulators are purely virtual — useful for learning procedural steps, but missing the tactile reality of guiding a wire through actual anatomy. The NAVIS Lab is built around physical vasculature, so the haptics are real because the anatomy is real.
Endovascular skills are now core to vascular surgery, interventional radiology, and cardiology training — but access to realistic practice remains limited by radiation exposure, cath lab availability, and cost. A simulator that is portable, radiation-free, and realistic changes who gets to practice, and how often. That’s the gap the NAVIS Lab fills, for residency programs and for medical device companies that need a better way to demonstrate and test endovascular devices.
